MIU Transportation Office

The MIU Transportation Office provides transportation services to faculty, staff, students, and visitors of Maharishi International University.
Transportation Office is located in the MIU Guest and Conference Center (Building #R31), Room #29, Fairfield, IA 52556

Office hours are 9:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.

If there is an urgent need for transportation outside of work hours, please text (641) 233-8458 and be sure to include your full name and student ID number, if applicable.

Please note:

• Transportation services are not available on public holidays.
• Transportation requests cannot be submitted by WhatsApp or text.

Driver’s phone numbers are given to you only to communicate at the airports or campus for the reserved services. Drivers cannot help with arranging rides. Please don’t call them any other time. Drivers are not responsible for carrying luggage.

Prices are applicable for up to three passengers. If you have more than three passengers and would like to reserve a bus service, please get in touch with us at transportation@miu.edu.

Please reserve at least two business days before the trip, making sure to contact us during operation hours, and always keep us posted for changes or cancelations. Full refunds are available for cancelations made at least one business day before the trip.

Ride from campus to airports/stations

Service to airports/stations is available from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays and weekends.

Ride to campus (pick up from airport/train station and ride to MIU campus)

Pick-up from airports/stations is available from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays and weekends to your desired destination in Fairfield.

Please note: For transportation during a weekend; please submit the request form) early in the previous week in order to secure a driver.

For faculty and staff: if the travel is job-related, please have your supervisor fill out the transportation request form.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I do if I arrive at the airport after 9 pm?

We do not have late night pick-up service available. Please arrange to stay at a hotel near the airport. Use the hotel’s shuttle. Contact us to arrange for transportation to campus in the morning.

How do I pay the transportation service fee?

Cash or debit–credit card payments are accepted.
