DOUBLY Auspicious
NEXT US NATIONAL YAGYASM PERFORMANCE OCTOBER 6 – OCTOBER 16
Nine Days of Mother Divine and Victory Day
The next 11-day National Yagya for the United States will be performed during Navaratri, the Nine Days of Mother Divine. The Yagya will continue through Vijaya Dashami, Victory Day
Mother Divine represents the unbounded creativity and supreme nourishing quality of Nature—the fundamental aspects of Nature that bring support and success to every endeavor and every field of life. Victory Day is the culmination of the Nine Days and signifies the ultimate triumph of good in the world.
Our Maharishi JyotishSM Pandits emphasize that this is the most powerful period in the Vedic calendar to sponsor Yagyas—when the Laws of Nature are liveliest for fulfillment of desires in all areas: success and prosperity, health and longevity, intelligence and enlightenment.
Victory Day, October 15, is an exceptionally auspicious day to launch new endeavors and make resolutions for success—particularly when supported by participation in a Yagya.
The Sankalpa (intention) of the Yagya will be:
A healthy, coherent, and happy America―with ideal weather
May the full power of Nature’s Creative Intelligence guide and uplift America, and may Maharishi’s legacy of peace and enlightenment permanently bless the human race.

|
The Nine Days of Mother Divine (Navaratri) — among the most auspicious days in the Vedic calendar — are from 7 to 14 October. During this time, Laws of Nature associated with enhanced well-being, spiritual progress, and good fortune are especially lively and accessible.
This is an ideal opportunity to have a Special Yagya performed — whether for Well-Being, a Birthday or an Anniversary.
The Nine Days culminate on Vijaya Dashami, Victory Day, 15 October which, along with the previous days, is a highly fortunate time for a Well-Being Yagya.
Applying for these Yagyas is very easy and can be done here. Please request your Yagya at least seven days in advance. To read more about the Special Yagyas please click here. All proceeds from the Yagyas go towards supporting the Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India and are deeply appreciated

Welcome to the “Genius Lounge,” a new audio series with Bob Roth, CEO of the David Lynch Foundation, author of the NY Times bestseller, “Strength in Stillness,” and 50-year teacher of Transcendental Meditation®.
Why do we call it Genius Lounge?
This audio series focuses on the genius of nature, from microscopic to macroscopic, including the genius of the human brain and body. The name was inspired by brain researchers who have identified key networks within the brain that underlie and foster the creative process. One such network is the “Default Mode Network,” which has also been called the “Imagination Network” and the “Genius Lounge.” Innovation gets its start here—and the practice of Transcendental Meditation accelerates the process by strengthening the creative networks within the brain and by removing the restrictive impact of stress.
In each episode, Bob shares a few minutes of exciting research findings on the brain, ancient and modern insights into consciousness, and/or inspiration to live a healthier, happier life.

Maharishi explains that: "Intellectual thought means decisive thought, and in decisions emotions are deeply involved. When you decide, it's the force of decision that takes in emotion very deeply. Decision is never free from the grip of emotion; decision is guided by emotion. Apparently, it may appear that they are guided by logic, but logic is always in favour of emotions."
This eBook with audio and text from this very profound lecture includes some special pictures of Maharishi. We highly recommend viewing it on a computer with Google Chrome as this gives a very full and enjoyable experience. Please turn the pages slowly and wait for the audio bar to begin playing on the selected pages with audio. The first audio bar appears on page 4 after the title pages.

20 Tips for TM Twice a Day

Abstract
The current perception of U.S. military leaders is that we live in a dangerous world, one filled with enemies that require the next level of disruptive technologies to subdue. Three properties define such technologies. They are unexpected, they hit enemies in a weak spot, and they cannot be avoided. From Pearl Harbor, to the nuclear weapons at the end of World War II, to the attacks on 9/11, disruptive technologies have proven impact, but they can suffer from problems. For example, tactical disruptive technologies have a limited force-multiplying effect. Strategic disruptive technologies (e.g. nuclear weapons), on the other hand, are dangerous to those who use them and are no longer held only by the U.S. To maintain its leadership in the world, the U.S. needs a new kind of disruptive technology. For maximum effectiveness, disruptive technologies must accomplish more than before. They must not only challenge enemies, but completely disable them. One such possibility is called "Invincible Defense Technology." This recently developed approach is inexpensive, scalable, and has proven effectiveness, as described in eighteen peer-reviewed studies [see APPENDIX]. Its effects are irresistible, i.e. enemies are unable to stop them. By applying this human resource-based, non-lethal, non-destructive technology, militaries can prevent enemies from arising.
Former U.S. Secretary of Defense William Perry called preventive defense "our most important tool for protecting American interests from the special dangers that characterize the post-Cold War era" - keeping potential challenges to security "from becoming full-blown threats."
Message from Meryl Ann Butler, Managing Editor: Thanks for sharing this wonderful data. I learned TM in 1977 and it powerfully changed my life, and I could feel its importance...however, back then there weren't many studies to cite. I'm grateful to Maharishi University and people like you, Dr. Leffler, for this research. I did not have to be convinced by science, all I needed was an introduction to TM and I felt its awesomeness, but for people who feel more comfortable with data, this is just fabulous.
During my first 25 years of TM, I meditated twice a day --three times when I was pregnant -- and never missed a single meditation (not even while in the hospital to give birth!) It was absolutely life-giving for me and I'm so grateful to have learned the process, which I was introduced to in rural Louisiana, of all places! I haven't been quite as regular during the last couple of decades, but every time I come back to it, it's a perfect fit.

Wade McKinley recalls the day he first stepped into a class on transcendental meditation (TM). As a young man in Vancouver, he’d been experiencing anxiety and depression, and a friend had recommended enrolling.
“I strolled in not knowing anything and said, Hi, I’d like to learn,” said the Calgary resident.
Now 54, McKinley has been practicing TM for 33 years. He says he values the rest it brings to his nervous system and body.
“There are times when distractions interrupt my peace of mind,” he said, but the stability that twice-daily meditation brings stays with him. “I still do TM exactly the way I was taught, but there’s growth in my experience. The quality of silence and settled-ness, it’s expanded into more aspects of my day.”
