Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a graduate level course in Agronomy/Crop Science for October 2021 block (one month). The candidate may also have opportunity to teach other courses (Advanced Crop Science, Integrated Pest Management, Organic Farm Management, Plant Physiology, Weed Management) in the following blocks based on the expertise of the candidate. The successful candidate will teach online graduate course in agronomy or crop science and develop new courses that will enhance the current Master of Science in Regenerative Organic Agriculture (MS-ROA) curriculum. Opportunities such as grant submission, research activities, student advising, develop a positive rapport with regional agronomy farms will also be available. The successful applicant may be involved with university organic agriculture research farm as well as industry collaborations.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Ph.D. in Agronomy or related field is required. Applicants with all but dissertation (ABD) with a documented plan of completion by August 2021 will also be considered.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Documented teaching or research experience is required.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in and knowledge concerning cropping systems including corn, soybeans, hemp, wheat, and/or crops common to the United States.
