Membership Types

The MIU Recreation Center is available to everyone through day passes or memberships. Members have free access to all recreation center facilities except the tennis courts and the tennis ball machine, for which there is an extra charge. Rules and policies (pdf)

Payment Options

We accept cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, and contactless payments (Apple Pay, Android Pay) for membership types.

There is no admission charge for MIU and Maharishi School students, faculty, and staff, provided they bring a valid ID card. They are also entitled to use of the tennis courts and tennis ball machine at no charge.

We offer the following insurance-based programs:

Silver Sneakers Accepted

The MIU Recreation Center offers SilverSneakers, a fitness program available through certain health insurance plans that provides seniors with a recreation center membership. Tennis membership not included.

To see if your current Medicare plan includes the Silver Sneakers benefit, contact your health plan directly. If eligible, bring your Tivity Health ID Card and photo ID to the MIU Recreation Center to enroll.

Renew Active Accepted

The MIU Recreation Center has partnered with Renew Active by UnitedHealthcare.
Renew Active™ is a fitness program for body and mind designed to help UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage members meet fitness-related goals. Tennis memberships not included.

Plans are insured or covered by a Medicare Advantage organization with a medicare contract. Enrollment in the plan depends on the plan’s contract renewal with Medicare.
