Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA), Maharishi International University publishes its Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (ASFSR) by October 1 each year. This report is updated as circumstances require.
The ASFSR summarizes the core security and fire safety policies of Maharishi International University. The report discusses, among many issues, the University’s crime prevention efforts, the frequency and content of our security and fire safety presentations, crime and sexual assault reporting and investigation procedures, services available to victims of crime, policies and procedures for issuing timely warnings and emergency notifications, fire prevention policies, and emergency preparedness and response procedures. The report contains 3 years of campus crime and fire statistics for the main campus in Fairfield, and crime and fire statistics for MIU’s separate campuses for the years they operated.
The ASFSR is prepared by the Campus Security Office and contains information provided by numerous departments of MIU, primarily the Title IX Coordinator, the Department of Student Life, Human Resources, the Housing Office and the Management Office of Utopia Park Mobile Home Park and also by local law enforcement agencies in whose jurisdiction MIU operations took place in years 2018-2020.
